Have you heard of the Native American Vision Quest? Individuals venture alone into the wilderness to find the peace and quiet they need to go deep within themselves. Their purpose is to discover a personal vision inspired by Spirit. Visions provide direction, energy and enthusiasm. They are powerful and transformative.

Sound good? It is! That's why Unity of the Valley has begun its very own Vision Quest as a spiritual community. Yes, a group can have a vision, too, and it is created through a process called Visioning. In the capable hands of Visioning facilitator Rev. Sher McNeal, we won't need to head for a mountaintop or a forest for our quest. We will be guided to go within right where we are to allow Spirit's inspiration and wisdom to come forth.

In this exciting process of expanding consciousness, each of us is invited to contribute to the vision of our spiritual family. And guess what! We also have the opportunity to participate as individuals to illumine our own personal paths. In the immortal words of Dr. Seuss, "Oh, the places we'll go!"

But wait! Why do this visioning? We're getting along quite well as we are, thank you very much. Unity of the Valley is a wonderful, warm community and we already have a lot going on!

Yes, we do. And, we can experience much more! Expansion of consciousness and the realization of potential comes about by stretching and reaching and growing?and a vision energizes the Law of Attraction to help us grow where we want to go. Once we know where we're going, the Universe attracts to us what we need to get there. Our vision will help define who and what we are as a church community. It will guide our decisions and create avenues for our own interests and talents. (Are you getting excited?!)

That's why you are invited to join in the process of creating our community's vision. Together, we'll make it magnificent!
